Cory Yager, Esquire
Mr. Yager graduated in 1999 from the State University of New York, where he earned his B.A. degree in Political Science. He attended the John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, one of the five accredited law schools in the state of Georgia, where he received his J.D. Mr. Yager graduated from law school with the second highest GPA in his class.
Before attending John Marshall, Mr. Yager was employed as a police officer with the Cobb County Police Department. During his time in law school, Mr. Yager continued to work as a law enforcement officer for the City of Roswell Police Department. Mr. Yager received specialized training in Fatality Traffic Collision investigation, DUI Detection, and was a Field Training Officer (FTO) responsible for training police recruits.
As a police officer, Mr. Yager had to testify in criminal, traffic, and DUI cases. He often came into contact with the attorneys from Head, Thomas, Webb & Willis, LLC while in court. Because of his contact with the attorneys, he was able to see why the firm had such a prestigious reputation for defending their clients’ rights during both criminal and DUI proceedings.
Due to his respect for the Head, Thomas, Webb & Willis, LLC, and seeing hard they fight for their clients, Mr. Yager turned down several job offers after passing the Georgia Bar so he could accept a position with the law firm.
Mr. Yager has extensive inside knowledge of DUI cases, thanks to his nine years in law enforcement. He has been certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) to instruct police officers on how to administer field sobriety tests.
Mr. Yager currently practices defense law in Georgia. Since his time at the firm, he has successfully represented clients in DUI, traffic violation, and vehicular homicide cases. Mr. Yager is also involved in handling misdemeanor and felony crimes, as well as parole and probation issues.
In addition to his work in criminal defense, Mr. Yager practices civil litigation law. He represents clients in cases such as medical malpractice, personal injury, vehicle accidents, and product liability.
Mr. Yager is proud to continue the tradition of excellence at Head, Thomas, Webb & Willis, LLC.
