Attorney Greg Willis has dedicated his legal career to defending Georgia residents who have been accused of driving under the influence. Through his continuing education and extensive training, he has established himself to be one of the top DUI defense attorneys in the state. His superior reviews on websites such as Kudzu and AVVO are a testament to his skill and impressive track record of winning cases or having DUI charges reduced.

  • Attorney AVVO Rating of 10.0 (Superb)
  • Named Georgia SuperLawyer, as one of the Top Lawyers in the state
  • Rising Star Award from SuperLawyers
  • Best Law Firms by U.S. News & World Report in 2010
  • Board Member of DUI Defense Lawyers Association

Mr. Willis received his Bachelor Science from the University of Virginia in 1992 with a major in Commerce. He then attended the highly-regarded University of Georgia School of Law where he received his law degree in 1996.

Through his membership in legal organizations, such as the National College of DUI Defense, Georgia Defense of Drinking Driver’s Group, NACDL, and GACDL, Mr. Willis stays on the cutting edge of DUI defense. It was through the National College of DUI Defense that he was able to attend and complete the 2011 Mastering Scientific Evidence Seminar—the most technical and highest-level seminar in the country. Mr. Willis also mastered the Drug Recognition Expert Overview Course.

The key to winning a drunk-driving case is to have a greater knowledge of the evidence than the prosecution. Mr. Willis is not only certified to operate the Intoxilyzer 5000—the breathalyzer used by Georgia law enforcement agencies—he has also taken numerous courses to understand the science behind the machine and how it operates. This education allows him to challenge the results of the breathalyzer test.

Mr. Willis is completely dedicated to his clients. Once, when a key witness was unable to appear in court, he sought to postpone the trial until the witness would be available to testify for his client. The judge refused to wait. Rather than proceed with the trial against his client, Mr. Willis spent four days behind bars for contempt of court. When he was released, Mr. Willis returned to court – with the witness now available – and won his client’s case.

Thanks to his high quality of work, Mr. Willis has been named Super Lawyers Rising Star in multiple years for DUI defense. To learn how he can help your Georgia DUI case, please contact Mr. Willis today.

Thanks again for all the hard work that you and your team put into my case! It was obvious that the judge and jury were impressed with your preparation and professionalism. I really appreciate everything!

Much appreciation Greg!

After I was arrested for DUI, I was referred to Greg Willis by a close friend. From start to finish, Greg made me feel at ease about what I was going through… he was extremely knowledgeable of my particular situation, my charges, the DUI laws, and the different outcomes I would be faced with… he walked me through my rights, my options, and provided several solutions for me to evaluate.

My case was long and difficult… several court appearances and negotiations, but throughout the entire process I followed his direction, and knew I was in good hands. When my final day in court came, I was please to find that I had made the right decision by hiring him. Greg fought extremely hard for my case, and I received great results – No DUI conviction, no additional jail time, and the opportunity to get my life back in order. Greg has a remarkable reputation in the legal community… it was quite impressive watching him interact with the judges, officers, and prosecutors in the courtroom. I have since recommended him to several people – all of them have been extremely pleased with their service and outcomes, and none of them have been convicted of DUI’s.
