Jackie G. Patterson, Esquire

Mr. Patterson is a criminal defense attorney licensed to practice in the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Military Appeals for the Armed Forces.

He graduated from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston in 1991, interned at the district attorney's office in Houston, and received his master of laws (LLM) in Trial Litigation from Atlanta Law School in 1993. A bachelor of science in criminal justice and a master of public administration of Brenau College in Gainesville, Georgia, give a strong foundation to his extensive legal education. His work as a police officer with the Atlanta Police Department and certification as a police officer instructor give him valuable insight into police procedures. He recently stepped down as part-time municipal court and state court judge after eight years.

Attorney Patterson has conducted over 450 criminal trials and 700 bench trials. He has written and argued over 65 reported appeals. His publications include:
